Announcements
ATTENTION VOLUNTEERS!
Thank you SO much for your commitment to this amazing celebration!!!
The Parent Volunteer Agreement must be signed by all parent volunteers working Project Graduation and returned ASAP (due date was May 19th!).   See the attached file at the bottom of the web page if you need another copy.   Please make sure your Driver's License is scanned into the WHS security screen system (AKA Raptor) before graduation.   See additional information under the Volunteer section below.

REMINDERS!

Students can still turn in their PG 10 contracts. We will take them at the mandatory graduation practice in the PAC Concert Hall Lobby at 10am tomorrow.
Student bag drop off is at the PAC between 3pm and 7 pm tomorrow. Make sure your student knows that they cannot bring liquids, food, make up, perfume or drugs, except for specific medication needs. Follow the guidelines printed in the recent newsletter and handout they got with their yearbook for details.
Make sure you have a plan to pick up your student from PG 2010 on Friday morning at 5am!  We are encouraging this for the safety of all our seniors.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Needed:  Senior and Junior Parents to work the evening of Project Graduation
There will be several shift times and positions to fill.  The positions will be assigned after the first of the year when we know our exact shift times and the number of volunteers needed.   Please send your contact information to Ami Jones at whspg2010@gmail.com.  The shifts will be filled on a first come, first serve basis.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR VOLUNTEERS:

 1.  Please arrive 15 minutes before your shift begins to allow time for parking and check-in. (If you are working the first shift after graduation, arrive ASAP after the graduation ceremony ends)

2.  Park in the parking lots across from the Ninth Grade Center, by the softball fields & tennis courts on Westbank Drive.
 3.  All volunteers must enter and check-in at the Main High School Entrance on Westbank Drive; (Not the 9th Grade Center Bldg)
 4.  Wear comfortable clothes. Door monitors bring a book or magazines for quiet times.
 5.  You must stay until you are relieved by the next shift of volunteers.
 6.  Once relieved from a shift, parent volunteers will not be allowed to stay unless you are working another shift

Please remember to turn in your Parent Volunteer agreement ASAP (attached below) and to make sure your driver's license is scanned into the WHS security screen system (AKA Raptor).

FUNDRAISING
Randalls Card
It's Easy.  It's Simple.  It's Money for Project Graduation!
Do you have a Randalls Card?   Is your Randalls Card linked to Project Graduation in the Good Neighbor Program?
If you answered no to either of these questions, you need to contact the customer service department at Randalls right away.  This program is no cost to you but helps to fund Project Graduation.  Randalls will pay Project Graduation a percentage of your total purchases every time you use your card.  All you need to do is link your card to our Good Neighbor account (#4163).  You can have up to 3 different Good Neighbor programs designated for your card.  There is a short form to complete and turn in the next time you are at the customer service department at Randalls.  It's that easy!

Businesses and Families
Support PG and get lots of free advertising with your donation!  E-mail Karlene Guilbeau at kguilbeau@austin.rr.com or Patti Brennan at pabrennan@gmail.com to find out how you can financially support this drug and alcohol free safe evening for our graduates!

Cash donations appreciated!
You can also make a cash donation to Project Graduation ensuring our students have a safe place to celebrate their successful graduation.  Please send donations to Project Graduation at Westlake High School, 4100 Westbank Drive, Austin, TX 78746.

Men's Wearhouse Project
Men's Wearhouse in Barton Creek Square Mall will donate $5 to Project Graduation for every tuxedo rented by a WHS student!  See the flyer attached below for more information.

PHOTOS NEEDED!
TODDLER PICTURE CONTEST
As you are culling through those photos for the Senior Ad in the yearbook, don't forget to pull a toddler picture and enter it in the Toddler Picture Contest for Project Graduation.   Select a cute or funny (no naked!) photo of your child, age 18 months to 3 years.  Seniors match those darling faces with the names of their fellow graduates during the party. They can win $$ so give them a head start and submit one they are sure to recognize!

Enlarge your photo to an 8x10 size or make a copy of an existing 8x10,  put your senior's name and phone number on the back in pencil and either drop it off in the Counselor's office or mail it to Toddler Picture Contest, c/o Julie Ligon, 3005 Creek's Edge Pkwy, Austin= TX 78733.  ONE PHOTO PER SENIOR AND IT WILL NOT BE RETURNED!!!

NOSTALGIA WALL
Parents, it's time to start collecting pictures for the nostalgia wall that will be displayed at Project Graduation.  We need you all to send in COPIES of pictures of the past 13 years of your childs schooling.  COPIES of pictures can be turned into Karen Allen's desk in the counselors' office.  If you have any questions email Sandra Campbell at sandracampbell@austin.rr.com.

CLASS OF 2010 DVD AND SLIDESHOW
Nina French is putting together the slideshow DVD of the Senior Class of 2010 that will run during Project Graduation. We want every senior represented if possible. Please email her any candid shots of seniors from this year. You can send her as many pictures as you like but one person should not be in more than 10 of the pictures you submit.
Please email the pictures to her at whs2010pics@aol.com (not NinaFrench@aol.com or whspg2010@gmail.com).   She prefers group pictures with only seniors, but if a group picture containing non seniors represents a significant event this year, send it and identify the event.  If you have any music suggestions, please provide that input also.
Every senior goes home with this DVD, and we don't want to leave anyone out.  The only way to guarantee inclusion is by submitting a picture before the May 21st - extended deadline!  One reason for the extended deadline - she wants some large group prom pictures.  She is also going to accept a few Baccalaureate pictures if you get them to her by 5pm Monday May 31.

The Class of 2010 thanks you for your support!
Attached below is the 2010 Project Graduation Contract.  Early due date is March 12th.

Also attached are the forms that were in the packet mailed to parents earlier in the school year.  If you have misplaced your copies, please print them off and mail them in to:  Project Graduation @ Westbank Drive, Austin, TX 78746.  Thank you!
